Doppelgängers

Doppelgängers is a series of steel sculptures fabricated by hand and intended to be mistaken for mundane mass-produced objects. An experiment in factory-finish craft, the sculptures were often installed in context with their “real” counterparts and perhaps remain there to this day. Inspired by Ben Lerner’s collection of poetry, “Mean Green Path,” the series plays with visual deception and the act of disguise.
